Seizing the day

Today is the time to step in, recognize, or create opportunities to take it to the next level and communicate leadership or earn respect through performance. Empower yourself  to rise to the occasion by a window of opportunity and transform it through motivation. No matter what you face you can transform it into a useful situation, always learning and never failing to try your best.

May is always a busy month for us, but with the beginning of my wife's chemo therapy treatment, it has become even more so. Thus I have made the decision to not only seize the day but to in fact seize every single moment of every day I am given. I the past couple of months it has become all to clear the value and preciousness of life. I have been recently humbled to the extent that I do indeed know the gifts I have been given and I try harder and harder each day to be both aware and thankful of all the precious gifts I have and the ones I have yet to receive. 

Cancer has  long and intense effects on those it touches, not only the patient but the family and friends that care for and love the patient. Some of the changes we fully expected, some came as a total surprise. I will at a later time go into more detail of these changes and the ways we've found to deal with them at a later date. Be sure to check back when I introduce 

Silent Survivors a new blog I have been developing as a hopefully helpful guide and journal of our journey as we navigate through this strange land of cancer.

So once again I must say take not only the day but every moment of every day and make it your own. Bring your world around to where you want it, don't except the luck of the draw, stack the deck in your favor at every opportunity. 

Coping with the Bad Day Scenario

Stress, Balance and the Bad Day

It is normal to have an occasional bad day. It can almost seem like the best solution is starting over or simply giving up. That might make you feel better momentarily, but the quick instant gratification it can also lead to a very stressed out you.

Traveling the road least traveled and staying with your business plan can seem a very hard process to continue, but in the end, you will ultimately achieve more. When you find yourself struggling with a particular business goal, look at your personal life for guidance. Your business is directly tied with your personal life. When one area lacking or in some way is out of order, it can cause difficulty in all aspects of your business as well. An unresolved conflict with a spouse or child can leave you with somewhat less of your normal abilities to focus on the business at hand.

If you are the type to have a lot stress in your personal life, your business life will also suffer the stress. Some say stress is very negative all around. I believe some stress is necessary to keep you awake so to speak, but too much can and will leave you feeling rattled, tired, and possibly on the verge of a breakdown. Talking to the people you trust can help you develop techniques to help you manage this stress.

Anxiety and stress affects everyone in different ways. You can't be as productive when your worried about something. Extreme anxiety,stress or depression should be addressed by a professional. In some areas a life coach may be able to help you break the cycle. The can help you determine the causes of your anxieties and offer strategies to help cope with them.

Many of us lack the ability to focus. When work is piling up, it is easy to feel like your losing control, and become overwhelmed. Try to analyze which tasks are important and what is a waste of time. This can give you focus and help you develop strategies, goals and plans of action to accomplish the important duties.

Be sure to take care of yourself; how you feel directly relates to how your think and perform. Healthier eating choices and making time in your day for physical exercise can make tremendous differences in your performance.

Make the commitment to yourself to get organized. Set specific goals to help organize yourself. Talk to your colleagues about how they manage the areas you find yourself lacking in. You will find we all have tricks and tips to keep up with the things we need and do daily.

Once you have achieved balance in your personal life, you will find you have done the same in your work life, as well

I was recently asked to build and maintain an online ministry for a small local church that my brother attends. I myself am a member of a different church but since I do not regularly attend any church, I try to do my best to witness in the best way I know how by helping other churches spread the WORD.

Personal power

Personal Power, exactly what is "Personal Power"? I have come to believe personal power is directly related to your attitude and general adjustment to the world around you.  I inspire transformation, respect and support by discrete but charismatic example and tolerance.  I f you let the world around you make you powerless then you will be as such. If however you do not allow for any out side influences to change your direction or thought then you have truly achieved Personal Power.
I am an instrument for dynamic, responsible, or passionate expansion that serves or protects the greater good of my legacy. It is the goal of each of us to reach some sort of a desired end of any situation, it is up to you to best mold the situation to suit you.  You are your own master of the universe and I am empowered with a reputation of experience, credibility and momentum and I transform through integrity.

My power today lies in celebration. I am not alone. I embrace the pleasure of the moment and share the beauty and joy of a common bond within my brotherhood. I am empowered by inclusion and my gift is spontaneous rapture.

I celebrate and am grateful for captured moments of simple perfection. 

Satisfying my hearts desire connects me by example to love, beauty, pleasure, and happiness in those around me and gives me confidence to take it to the next level.

Recovery

My power today lies in recovery. 

Our mutual losses or experience deserve to be acknowledged or remembered with dignity, honor, and respect even as we regroup to move forward.

 I am willing to work on forgiveness and letting go of the past in order to find peace. 

It's time to give it a rest.

 I am empowered by stillness and my virtue is silence.

Transform through acceptance

I rise to the occasion and am motivated or made confident to take it to the next level by the recognition, admiration, praise, or accolades put on my achievements or personal success.  

I am newly aware of and proud of my sense of empowerment and I transform through acceptance.

Choices

Negotiating acceptable trade-offs validates our unique perspectives to reflect what each lacks for a balanced voice of truce. 

When we're together I'm beside myself, so I concede mutual vested interest, incentive or opportunity to my other half for valued consideration. 

Only by the power of self-respect in reciprocal vulnerability, need and compassion do 'me and thee consummate we.' 

The rest is all a dance on the sidelines of Cinderella Pandering or prohibition, or of bottom line temptation to cheat by provocation, promiscuity, or shame. 

But here at the gate of impasse, I still have a choice and my pride.


Choices......we all have to make them sometimes we perform better than others in deciding what choices to make. Our choices must reflect what we need to achieve, balanced by what we want to achieve.
